Every Barrett-Jackson acution is defined with its own unique offering or record breaking event. One auction that stood out in Palm Beach was the sale of the world’s first electrified Corvette – which sold for $1.1 million. Better yet, 100% of the hammer price directly benefitted national non-profit DonorsChoose. Philanthropist Michelle Mauzy additionally contributed another $50,000 to the charitable cause.
In total, the three-day Palm Beach event brought in over $44.4 million in auction sales: $43.6 million from vehicle sales and $745,000 from authentic automobilia. There were some very impressive vehicles that crossed the Palm Beach block, the top sellers were:
- 2020 Ford GT Heritage Edition – $1,457,000
- 2020 Ford GT – $990,000
- 2005 Ford GT – $440,000
- 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS – $434,000
- 1962 Corvette Custom Convertible – $401,500
As Barrett-Jackson continues to expand its presence, they announced that Sept. 28-30, 2023 would be their inaugural New Orleans auction.
