Makita Introduces 40V Max XGT® 3/8″ Metal Hole Puncher

Makita U.S.A. introduces the 40V max XGT® 3/8″ Metal Hole Puncher (GPP01). The tool delivers cordless punching mobility without all the hassles of a cord. The 3/8″ Metal Hole Puncher has a thickness capacity of 3/8” in general steel and 8/32” in stainless steel, and delivers up to 25% faster punching speed when compared with previous models.

Power and Versatility

The 3/8″ Metal Hole Puncher features a grip handle that rotates 360° allowing for optimal positioning in a variety of spaces. The punch stop mechanism automatically retracts the die once a punch is complete to quickly continue operation. The GPP01 also features an adjustable depth guide that allows for punch location adjustment up to 1-37/64″ (40 mm) from the edge of the workpiece. It is engineered with a max metal plate thickness capacity of 3/8″ in general steel and 8/32″ in stainless steel. There is a return lever that allows for the punch to be retracted during mid operation. The GPP01 delivers fast and effortless hole punching speed in under 3.8 seconds.

Convenience Features

Convenience features include an ergonomic pistol grip handle with rubberized soft grip provides increased comfort on the job, a built-in L.E.D. light illuminates the work area, a convenient side handle for additional support, as well as an integrated battery charge light indicator allows user to monitor battery charge level.
