OPTIMA Batteries Releases new OPTIMA YELLOWTOP

OPTIMA YELLOWTOP

OPTIMA® Batteries introduces the new OPTIMA YELLOWTOP® at the 2017 SEMA Show. It will be available for purchase in the spring of 2018 in DIN group sizes H6 and H7.

The OPTIMA YELLOWTOP chemistry is perfect for the high-energy demands and cranking power needed in DIN applications, and the addition of new YELLOWTOP sizes will allow a variety of modern vehicles, ranging from late-model domestic performance to European models, to experience the power and performance of OPTIMA Batteries.

“For decades, OPTIMA Batteries has been producing innovative products enthusiasts rely on in a variety of vehicles and applications,” said Cam Douglass, director of marketing, OPTIMA Batteries, Johnson Controls. “The new DIN fitment features best-in-class reliability and performance that enthusiasts have come to expect from OPTIMA Batteries, and now more vehicles than ever can experience the Ultimate Power Source.”

The new OPTIMA YELLOWTOP with PUREFLOW TECHNOLOGY™ features a completely new DIN-specific design that delivers robust power, extreme recharge and unsurpassed performance. OPTIMA Batteries spent several years perfecting this new offering to ensure it exceeds expectations and lives up to the OPTIMA name. The new offering is an addition to the family of OPTIMA YELLOWTOP products and delivers the same power of SPIRALCELL TECHNOLOGY®. It has been engineered with 99.99% pure lead, highly-compressed radial grid and a direct-path cast-on strap.

The new OPTIMA YELLOWTOP battery has been put through rigorous testing – in the lab and in real-life. In addition to dozens of lab tests, the new OPTIMA YELLOWTOP has survived off-roading at King of the Hammers, racing around the legendary Nürburgring 24-hour race course in Germany, and more.

“We didn’t just test the new OPTIMA YELLOWTOP, we torture tested it,” said Douglass. “To confirm it’s worthy of the OPTIMA Batteries name, we put one single battery in the hands in a variety of professionals, who put it through grueling competitions over the past year to be sure it exceeded expectations. And it’s not over yet; we plan to be the first battery to set the land speed record next year at the Bonneville Salt Flats.”
