Restyling has been a growing aspect of the SEMA Show. In particular, in North Hall, you’ll see much more than just flashing lights and new paints. How do you create a different vehicle look each day of the show? That’s where the wraps and graphics installers come into the picture. With innovative vinyl companies such as Orafol, 3M and Avery on deck, you’ll see more wild designs than ever. Of course, you have a master printer like Mutoh who can print colors with such vibrancy that any vehicle that it lays on will surely stand out in the crowd.
Avery Dennison featured wrap sessions each day and it was led by world respected installer Justin Pate, owner of The Wrap Institute. Not only does he teach wrap techniques, but he can also show you first hand, in person, how it’s done. With a great looking truck in the booth, each day, a new graphics scheme was put on the car. 3M also featured wrap demos each day and as some may say that paint is dead, we’d argue that both have its place in the aftermarket.
Avery also took to the SEMA Show to announce their Wrap Like a King Winner which was a culmination of a worldwide submission process that narrowed down to a single winner. A unique contest, there was no on-site judging and rather, images of wraps were submitted to an esteemed panel who then declared winners from each region and then eventually an ultimate winner.
